How to book a school visit

To book a visit for your school group, please fill out our booking form. All requests are responded to on a first come first serve basis, but we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date and time. A member of the team will be in touch to confirm the booking or suggest alternative dates. During peak times our response can be a little slower, but if you haven’t heard back from us within a week, please do get in touch. We advise you wait for receipt of booking before you book transport, etc.

How much do school visits cost?

We are delighted to offer our school workshops free of charge. We may also be able to support with transport costs, and discuss this with you once the booking has been confirmed.

What facilities are available for schools?

Our Enniskillen site has free parking adjacent, however, Belfast has no dedicated parking. Coaches can drop off on Bedford Street. Our museums have dedicated learning spaces and lockers for the pupils, where they can also have lunch. Accessible toilets are also available, and all areas of the building are accessible. Please note we cannot offer a lunch service. On arrival, please speak to one of staff at reception who will welcome your group and make sure you have a great visit!

Safe and sound during your visit

Our museum operates under regularly reviewed public safety control measures, and we also work closely with MoD Health & Safety teams. To have access to our sites, school groups must comply with the Terms and Conditions outlined in our pre-visit guide for teachers, a coy of which will be provided. All members of UNTOLD education team are security and Access NI vetted. We operate our programming in accordance with UNTOLD: The Museum’s Safeguarding Policy for Children and vulnerable adults. Once your booking is confirmed, all relevant documents will be supplied, included a site specific risk assessment.

Cancellation Policy

We understand life happens, so if you need to cancel your booking, please just give us a much notice as possible, especially if transport has been booked on your behalf.
